Lord Olbaid and some Doodles

Lord Olbaid; ruler of Infernium!

Side Sketch

Size Comparison
So, this big guy is Malice's dad.
(To the left is an image to give you an idea of his size)

He's the Overlord of Infernium and the father of countless demonic spawn. Unfortunately for him, one of those countless offspring turned out to be Malice.

I have a good few scripts and thumbnails drawn up, so I'm hoping to start creating the pages very soon!

Here are some bonus doodles; the first is the house that Malice and her dysfunctional family inhabit while trying to conquer humanity. The second is Infernium Castle, where Malice's dad can be found...although, I'll add more details in the final version!

"Tales of Malice" Logo, and Edwin!

"Tales of Malice" Logo
Here is the new logo for my latest project! As well as the third character:

Edwin was assigned as a guardian figure to assist Malice in her despicable conquest (it was between that or a painfully horrible demise). A kind and gentle soul, he isn't best equipped to deal with Malice and Munchy's boisterous antics.

"I mean it! You will NOT play with radiation in the house!"
"But...I just finished cleaning that..."
"Alright..what did you do this time?"
"I'm starting to think I should have chosen painfully horrible demise."
"..."
Below is a test image to see how the characters and logo work together. Edwin's design is simple, but suits his character and interacts well with Malice and Munchy's colours.

More Munchy!

Munchy Expressions Montage!
Here's an expression sheet for the second character of "Malice"; Munchy!

Proof that he does have a mouth!

"Ah, well...it didn't...quite go according to my calcuations..."

"It's not supposed to go in the microwave!!"

"It's simple, really. REALLY. SIMPLE."

"@!*%!"

More characters and other art to follow!

Munchy!

Here is the second character from my "Malice" demon comic project; Munchy!

Munchy is Malice's 'best friend' (Servant imp) and is usually the first in line to feel Malice's wrath when her plans for world domination go hideously wrong. He is the voice of reason out of the two; although he is seldom heard.

Munchy (like Malice) has also undergone changes since I have been working on improving my digital drawings over this last year. One of the major points I have had to learn is that detail is not always the best option.

First Munchy from '06
As promised in my last post, here is the first drawing of Munchy...over 7+ years ago, now! I drew him at school in the library for fun, and the design just stuck with me. He hasn't changed much! My next step is to draw up some expression sheets for him. Thank you for checking these out!

(I will also be at EUROGAMER tomorrow with my game team-mates Jo Jones and Sonia Paul, showcasing our educational game "Junkyard Physics"!)

More Malice

Malice Expressions Montage
I spent today drawing up some possible Malice expressions to get a feel for the character. I really want to create a lot of them funny to look at!

"I didn't KNOW it would explode like that, ok?!"
"That...that should have worked..."
"C'mon, demonic possession...I know...that you aren't just a myth...hynggggg..."
"Oops!"
\m/ Metal Malice! \m/
I have work tomorrow and Tuesday, but I aim to draw up another character next week. I'll also be including the first ever drawing of them from '06! More details will be revealed...

Malice! >:)

Years ago when I was about 14, I had an idea for a comic about demons. It included monsters, tomfoolery, toilet humor and complete immaturity! My schoolbooks were chock full of them.

It featured a demon girl (Malice) who's attempts at world domination and enslaving the human race always ended in failure; mostly due to her own stupidity, atrocious attention span and lack of common sense!

The last couple of days I've been thinking about reviving this idea for comic practice; it's about time I buckled down and stuck with an idea! Here is the character turnaround sheet for Malice:

When compared to my first digital piece about this time last year, she's developed a lot!

She fits her personality and character that I have in mind a lot better; she's more goofy and childish. I'll upload more work as I go; and reveal more characters and story in the near future!
